As a performer he was known for his powerful vocals and flamboyant performances, and continues to be voted as one of the greatest singers in the history of popular music. He performed an estimated 700 concerts in countries around the world with Queen. One of his most notable performances with Queen took place at 'Live Aid'' in 1985 to an audience of 72,000, said by many to be the greatest live performance in the history of rock music.
